Shipping & Rate Information

Shipping and Handling: The cost for shipping and handling is detailed in our Shipping Information page, and is summarized upon checkout. Orders valued at less than $300 will ship under a flat rate all domestic zones shipping plan – see shipping chart for details.  All returns must be sent to us prepaid, ALL Shipping and Handling charges are an expense paid to a third party and are NON-Refundable. 

 

Foreign Shipments:  We currently do not offer International shipping.

 

APO, FPO Shipping:  Due to strict government regulation we no longer ship to these locations.

 

Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands and Other US Territories:  We will ship to these locations. Generally US Mail is the least expensive means, however, please be advised ship time can take as long as 4 or 5 weeks.

 

Shipping Damages or Shortages:  Packages should be checked upon delivery for damage or shortages. The carrier must be informed and note either of these conditions. Any damages or shortages must also be reported to Gift Baskets By NCN within 48 hours of receiving of your order.

 

Incorrect Address, Not In On 3 Delivery Attempts, or Change of Address Charges:  All orders that cannot be delivered and are returned to Gift Baskets By NCN due to the following: (incorrect address, no-one available to accept delivery, requests to change an address once the order has been placed) will be charged for the additional shipping to re-send the order. Unfortunately, UPS will not refund the shipping cost and therefore we must pass this cost on if you have provided incorrect information. In fact UPS charges us an additional $5.00 per package, so please be sure to provide a valid address that a package can be delivered to successfully.

 

Refused Package:  All orders that are refused upon deliver will be cancelled upon return. All money collected on said orders will be refunded less the shipping and handling charges.

 

Shipping on Customer UPS Account or Common Carrier Collect:  We do not offer this service on the Gift Baskets By NCN web site. Please contact a customer service representative should you require further assistance. Please see SHIPPING METHODS and COSTS for more information.

 

Area of Delivery: We will ship to any US destination serviced by United Parcel Service (UPS) except for APO and FPO’s (due to the 9/11 USPS regulations).

 

Shipping Damage:  If you receive an item that is broken due to shipping damage or some other event prior to its arrival, you MUST make a claim within two (2) Business days. If the claim is made within two business days, we will issue you a prepaid label for you to return the item to our warehouse and we will send you a replacement at no additional cost upon receiving the returned item.  Not applicable to orders outside the continental United States.

 

If you are in need of the item, you may elect to have us send the replacement in advance along with the prepaid return shipping label. If this option is elected you will be charged for the entire cost of sending you the replacement in advance, this charge will be refunded once we have received the item being returned. In some cases we may instruct you to hold the item inspection and pickup by the Carrier, such as UPS. In other cases you may be instructed to bring the item with our prepaid return shipping label to the nearest UPS Store or Post Office for drop off.

 

If the item is returned but determined that it was damaged after its delivery and not prior to its delivery, then the standard return policy will be applied and all of the additional cost will be at your expense. We reserve the right to be the sole determining party as it relates to this policy. If the claim is not made within two business days, our standard Return Policy and Procedure will apply.


Substitutions and Returns

We do reserve the right to make substitutions and do find the need to at various times throughout the year. Also, not all packaging may look identical to the products photographed as designer packaging does change quite frequently. With this in mind please be aware that a substitution or variance in flavor or packaging does not justify an item being returned at our expense, a discount or refund of any kind. If for any reason other than damages or errors on the part of Giftbaskets By NCN  a customer wants to return a gift they may do so at their own expense plus an additional 20% restocking fee.

If Giftbaskets By NCN has committed an error or a gift is damaged Giftbaskets By NCN will retrieve the gift and refund it in full or re-ship it. No additional discounts will be offered.


 

January 2011

  • We offer all zone shipping rates for the 48 States and US territories. 
  • We charge by the pound, this means as long as you know the weight of the item you know the shipping cost.
  • We do not charge for every box only for the shipment in its entirety! This means if we ship you 10 boxes and each weighs 2 lbs, your still only charged for 20 lbs, not for 10, 2lb boxes.

  • We do not charge separately or extra for items that are shipped at different times.

  • All express orders placed before 2:00 PM CST ship the same business day.
  • Express orders placed after 2:00 PM CST ship the next business day.
  • All ground orders ship within 1-2 business days.

 Rates will Auto Calculate upon Checkout. All shipping is Ground Service within the Continental USA. Order must weigh 10 lbs or more. Some items may be excluded, we reserve the right to withdraw this offer or reject a purchase at anytime.

 

Holidays/ Closures

Please take note that we are closed and no shipping will occur on the following days. All orders due to ship on these days will ship the next operating business day.
  • May 27th and May30 th, 2011 in observance of Memorial Day
  • July 4th and July 5th, 2011 in observance of Independence Day
  • September 2nd and September 5th, 2011 in observance of Labor Day
  • November 24th and 25th,2011 in observance of Thanksgiving
  • December 23rd and December 26th 2011
    (Only shipping of orders placed before 1 PM CST on 12/21/2011
    will ship on 12/22/2009. The deadline for shipping an order prior to
    Christmas is 12/21/2011 at 1 PM CST.)
  • December 30th, 2011 in observance of New Years.

Chocolate Gifts
As a reminder: Chocolate and perishable gifts need to ship via Next Day air May 15th through mid October.

If you want to ship one of these gifts via ground we are more than happy to accommodate your request. You ship these gifts at your own risk at all times from May through October. We do not offer refunds or discounts of any kind for melted or damaged chocolates even when they are shipped via air as we can not control how UPS handles the items in their trucks or terminal. We do not pay claims of any kind on these items if they melt, even when shipping via next day air.                                             
All other gifts containing chocolate will have the chocolates substituted out for hard candies when the gift ships any way other than next day air.


Saturday Delivery Saturday delivery is available only by shipping next day air on Friday and requesting Saturday delivery n the shipping comments. Standard air options deliver Monday thru Friday only. Saturday delivery is the cost of Next Day air service plus an additional $15.50 and again is by special request only. We do not offer 2nd day air Saturday delivery service except under special promotions and offers. Transit times do not include the day a gift ships, Holidays, Saturday or Sunday.
